International Flavors and Fragrances offers Melozone
(CAS# 30772-79-3), a synthetic fragrance
ingredient. Its odor has a combination of
green melon and modern aldehydic notes;
it instills a watery, ozonic, airy character and accentuates citrus
peel notes. It performs well in most applications other than the
ones with extreme pH.
Cardamom essential oil 920372, Elletaria cardamomum,
Guatemala, from Firmenich can be used in perfumery and
flavor applications. This ingredient is fully traceable, socially
sustainable and environmentally responsible, and offers a fresh
and spicy profile.
Bell Flavors and Fragrances EMEA offers Aurantiol (CAS#
89-43-0; synonym: methyl N-( 3,7-dimethyl-7-hydroxyoctylidene)
anthranilate), which is a yellow viscous liquid with a floral odor
and heavy orange blossom and lime tree blossom notes. Known
as a Schiff base, Aurantiol shows good effects in floral and fruity
notes at use levels up to 8% and has good stability in different
types of solutions such as alcoholic solutions. It has low stability
in acidic or alkaline solutions. This fixative fortifies top notes and
gives an oriental character; its tenacity is 400 hours.
Meanwhile, the company’s ethyl 2-methylbutyrate (FEMA#
2443, CAS# 7452-79-1) is a clear, colorless liquid offering a
fruit-ester and berry odor with green apple and fresh tropical

combine with malodorous molecules to produce non-volatile,
non-odorous addition products. It can be used in oil-based and
water-based formulations and can be used as a deodorizing agent.

fresh to unripe juicy fruity notes reminiscent of apple, pear and
kiwi with tropical nuances. In fragrance, its odor is green, fruity
apple, pear, kiwi, unripe banana and tropical. It offers apple,
