colorless derivative is obtained by total rectification of deep-red-colored thyme oil. It is spicy, hot and phenolic, with a marked
warm herbaceous character. Thyme oil is mainly used in flavors
since it has a sharp and lasting feel accompanied by a spicy herbaceous taste. In perfumery, the oil can be used in soap perfumes,
and combines well with lavender and citrus notes.

WS- 3 (FEMA# 2848, CAS# 8006-90-4; synonym: cyclohex-anecarboxamide, N-ethyl-5-methyl-2-(1-methylethyl)-) from
Renessenz is a menthol derivative. However, unlike menthol,
WS- 3 is virtually nonvolatile, odorless and tasteless. WS- 3 is
known for its immediate cooling impact and has been found to
cool primarily at the roof of the mouth, the back of the mouth
and the back of the tongue. It has potential for use in mint flavors
in oral care applications such as toothpaste and mouthwash, as
well as confectionery and chewing gum, depending on dosage
levels. In addition, it can be used at low levels to impart freshness into berry, citrus and other fruit flavors in beverage and
candy applications. WS- 3 has achieved the requirements of the
Food Safety System Certificate 22000.

Cypress oil blue (CAS# 187348-13-6), Callitris intratropica,
from ABP is steam distilled and sweet, woody-balsamic and
herbaceous. It blends well with lemon myrtle, floral oils such as
lavender, and citrus oils such as orange and mandarin. Suggested
uses include aromatherapy, as a fragrance raw material and in
cosmetics.

from steam distillation. Also known as buddawood or bastard
sandalwood, this ingredient has a tenacious, unique sweet-woody
